CANNONS IN THE FALL

Excerpt
“You know,” he said quietly, as we both watched a perfect smoke ring rise towards the ceiling. “Every fall we listen for the cannons. You can hear them all over town and miles around. Tech shoots off those two cannons when they score, and if there are lots of them going off we know they are doing well. If not, we know what is going on there too.” He stopped and looked at me almost like he had forgotten why I was there.

Story
Although we can not go back physically in time, for a few moments we can remember that first new car, a new friend, old music groups, etc. These are the memories that have defined our lives to make us part of the family.

This is a story of real people and events with names changed in some instances to protect the innocent from publicity.

It is a story guaranteed to not make you feel like you have been shot at or chased by a monster. With a very positive message by the end, it is a book to be enjoyed over and over.

Bio
Although I have done some interesting things in my life, all I ever really wanted to do was write. Retirement gave me the time, and a loving wife and family gave me the encouragement. "Cannons In The Fall" is a first work designed to give me a starting place. I have a 2 part, historical story due out next that is a love story set in a historical setting covering 4 decades about the family of an itinerant Pentecostal Evangelist from Paris, Arkansas.
